LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort Park Concept: Great Adventures, Day and Night
“Great things await you!” – This is the motto behind the eleven themed areas at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort, including its on-site holiday village. Located in Günzburg, Bavaria, the family theme park offers unforgettable experiences for families with children aged two to twelve, with 68 attractions and thousands of models built from more than 58 million LEGO bricks – all with the option of an overnight stay.
LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort is a paradise for young treasure hunters and the young at heart, pirates, explorers, knights, and brave roller coaster riders. The heart of the park is MINILAND, where cities, landscapes, and five of the world’s tallest buildings have been recreated from LEGO bricks with incredible attention to detail. In May 2025, the LEGOLAND Allianz Arena was extensively modernized to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The latest park expansion was the opening of the eleventh themed area – the mythical world of LEGO MYTHICA – in 2023.
At LEGOLAND, children are always at the center of everything. Their imagination and joy of play are encouraged anytime and anywhere. Mysterious pharaohs, brave princes, fearless racers, or daring pirates: at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort, girls and boys can step into these roles themselves. Together with their families, they embark on an exciting adventure throughout the park.
Fearless pirates battle it out in PIRATE LAND in an exciting water fight. Just a few steps away, in ADVENTURE LAND, visitors can race down a twelve-meter-high waterfall in canoes, while wild LEGO animals await along the path on the Safari Tour. In KNIGHTS' KINGDOM, guests can travel through the great medieval castle aboard the Fire Dragon roller coaster. In the LEGO X-TREME area, children can showcase their creativity and inventive spirit, while PHARAOHS' LAND takes guests high above the rooftops of LEGOLAND Deutschland on the Desert X-cursion ride.
The legendary city of Atlantis is brought to life in the underwater world of LEGOLAND ATLANTIS by SEA LIFE. Here, visitors encounter more than 1,300 tropical marine creatures, including sharks and rays. Thanks to numerous LEGO models that the animals use as hiding places, their habitat becomes a colorful underwater world. One of the highlights is the eight-meter-long glass tunnel, which brings guests face-to-face with the marine life.
Playful learning, endless creativity, interactivity, and fun are at the heart of the park experience. Children can even earn their first driving license in LEGO CITY. After completing the theoretical lessons at the LEGOLAND Driving School powered by Hyundai, they can take to the streets in LEGO-style electric cars on a specially designed road course. Those seeking a higher adventure can board the Flying NINJAGO attraction, rising up to 22 meters into the air while spinning 360 degrees.
The highlight and centerpiece of the park is MINILAND. Here, the whole family can immerse themselves in a fascinating LEGO model world and, for example, travel across Europe in just a few steps. In LEGO MYTHICA, families enter a mythical world full of fun and action, where they can soar through the MYTHICA skies aboard the world’s first LEGOLAND Wing Coaster, “MAXIMUS – Flight of the Guardian.”
Staying Overnight at the LEGOLAND Holiday Village
If desired, the LEGO adventure continues into the evening for guests staying at the LEGOLAND Holiday Village. Whether families choose to spend the night in a pirate-themed room, a magnificent castle room, a themed accommodation, or at the campsite – a unique around-the-clock LEGO experience is guaranteed. Sleep like a true ninja! In the NINJAGO Quarter, this dream becomes a reality. In 2024, the family resort expanded its accommodation offering once again with the LEGOLAND Forest Adventure Lodge™, featuring a forest and wildlife-inspired design. Today, it offers a total of 670 family rooms for four to six people, as well as 165 camping pitches and 39 camping barrels.
In addition to themed accommodations and LEGO-inspired restaurants, the whole family can enjoy plenty of fun and action, whether at the high ropes course, the bowling center, the pirate mini-golf course, or one of the many playgrounds.
