MINILAND: The world in LEGO® format

MINILAND: Discover the world through play in LEGO® format

Neuschwanstein Castle, the Berlin Reichstag, and the Burj Khalifa – all just a stone’s throw away from each other in MINILAND, the heart of LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort. This iconic area showcases famous German, European, and international landmarks, forming the centerpiece of the park’s ten adventure worlds. More than 23 million standard LEGO® bricks have been used by LEGOLAND’s model designers to create this impressive world of miniature landmarks, primarily built on a scale of 1:20.

Life in MINILAND

With incredible attention to detail, the scenes in MINILAND have been recreated to bring famous places and everyday moments to life. Thanks to interactive elements and animations, the miniature world becomes a living experience: cars and trams travel through the streets, ships sail along the canals, and life goes on inside the buildings. People stroll through the streets or relax in outdoor cafés. Every detail has been created using more than 23 million LEGO bricks. There are no shortcuts in MINILAND: the model designers use only standard LEGO bricks – just in extraordinary quantities.
In many scenes, park visitors can actively become part of the action by using buttons or joysticks to control elements such as a crane or launch a hot air balloon into the sky. In the evening, MINILAND takes on a truly special atmosphere as the lights in the streets and buildings of the miniature world are switched on, the Allianz Arena shines in its team colors, and the city comes alive after dark.

MINILAND Areas

In MINILAND, it only takes a few steps to travel from the Berlin Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate to St. Mark’s Square in Venice or the Frankfurt skyline. Turn around once, and you will find yourself standing in front of the impressive High Five. Here, visitors are truly amazed, as five of the world’s tallest skyscrapers have been recreated from more than 400,000 LEGO bricks at a scale of 1:150.

Among the highlights are the Burj Khalifa and One World Trade Center. On the journey towards Switzerland, guests can watch Sissi and King Ludwig dancing the waltz in the throne room of Neuschwanstein Castle, before ending their adventure with a visit to the Landungsbrücken in Hamburg’s harbor.
