The LEGOLAND Holiday Village: Your unique Stay at the Heart of the LEGO World

Exploring all ten LEGOLAND Resort theme worlds takes time. Since its opening in 2002, LEGOLAND Deutschland has developed from a popular family leisure park into a massively unique short-trip destination. The Holiday Village opened in 2008 right next to the park. Year after year, the resort has been recognised by various travel platforms as one of the most popular family hotels in Germany. The park has been attracting visitors ever since, boasting with 144 themed rooms, a campsite, a magnificent castle complex and the unique Pirate Island Hotel, designed with a total of 1,500 LEGO models. LEGOLAND Holiday Village has the capacity to welcome a total of 2,644 guests per night. For a memorable stay with an all-round feel-good guarantee, even after the park closes its doors, Holiday Village guests can enjoy spending time at the bowling centre, or high ropes course, numerous adventure playgrounds, and the pirate golf course.

LEGOLAND and Merlin Entertainments

On 7 June 1968, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, son of LEGO founder Ole Kirk Christiansen, opened the first LEGOLAND park at the headquarters of the LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark. The idea of building a family play paradise of colourful LEGO bricks turned out to be a huge success. And so, from the 90s, the company began to promote the concept in other countries too. It all worked out well: the nine LEGOLAND parks are now among the most important amusement parks in the world. The LEGOLAND concept celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018, and is still widely popular.
