Mobility is an important topic even for the youngest. Therefore Hyundai Motor Deutschland supports the LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort as strategic partner for already 10 years and provides again 30 family friendly and environmental friendly cars for the theme park in its anniversary year.
Hyundai sets its focus on electric mobility in 2020. The cars provided for LEGOLAND does also reflect this focus. Currently are five Hyundai Kona Hybrid used as shuttle or as company cars. The electric city speedster Kona and the Hyundai Ioniq are displayed in the park. The Ioniq is a car only available with alternative drives: Electro, Plug-In Hybrid and Hybrid.
The offer for young and old LEGOLAND visitors is extensive: three to seven year old children can gain their first driving experiences in the Hyundai Junior Driving School. The older ones can make their first driving license in the Hyundai LEGOLAND Driving School in at least 6 km/h fast electro speedsters and after a short theory class. This is how Hyundai fulfils its social responsibility the traffic education sector.
Since 2012, Hyundai Motor Deutschland, located in Offenbach am Main is a 100 % subsidiary of the South Korean Hyundai Motor Company. Hyundai was very successful in the German market in 2019. The company was able to set a new record with more than 129,000 new cars sold. An increase of about 13 percent compared to the previous year, with a market share of approx. 3.6 percent. Hyundai hereby remains the most successful Asian brand in Germany. Additionally Hyundai received numerous awards: Hyundai was awarded with two prizes at the Automotive Innovation Awards 2019 for their innovative drive technologies. The Design Council also awarded Hyundai’s technologies with the German Innovation Award.

The model range includes a wide portfolio which ranges from the new microcar Hyundai i10 to the agile i20 to the popular family version i30. Hyundai is especially well positioned in the booming SUV range, customers will find the fitting car for their space requirements from the City SUV Kona to the compact Tucson to the SUV flagship Santa Fe. Hyundai is the first car producer worldwide to offer all important alternative drives in mass production. These are the Hyundai Ioniq, the first car worldwide which was designed for three different alternative drive types (Hybrid, Plug-in-Hybrid and Electric), the Hyundai Kona with electric or hybrid drive as well as the sustainable fuel cell vehicle Hyundai Nexo. The high performance models i30 N and i30 Fastback N contribute to the emotional side of the brand. For the first time, maximum driving fun was the focus during the development of these cars.
Hyundai Motorsport established a strong position in the motorsport world in the last years with their title wins in the FIQ Touring Car World Cup (WTCR) and the FIA World Rallye Championship (WRC). Performance and development are two important elements of the company from which the goal arises to play a competitive part of the electric motorsport.
