Hyundai Motor Deutschland GmbH, headquartered in Offenbach/Germany, is a fully-owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company, Korea, since 2012. In 2014, 99,820 Hyundai vehicles were sold in Germany. With this market share of 3.3%, Hyundai is one of the top three import brands in the country. Worldwide, the Hyundai Motor Group is currently one of the five largest automotive manufacturers.


Customers confirm that Hyundai vehicles combine an attractive design with high quality and excellent value for money. The model range includes a wide portfolio reaching from the new minicar i10 to the midsize estate car i40, from the compact car i30 to the cityroader ix35 and from its sporty Veloster to the robust van H-1 Cargo. The 5-year warranty package with unlimited mileage is unique on the market.


In the European research, development and design center located in Rüsselsheim, almost 95% of all vehicles sold in Europe are designed, engineered and tested. About 90% of these cars are built in the European plants of the brand, which are situated in the Czech Republic and Turkey.


A main sponsor of FIFA and UEFA, the brand is renowned for its engagement in international soccer as well as for its social commitment in the pan-European school project “Skills for the Future” and as a long-standing partner of Caritas in Germany. Additionally, Hyundai is playing an active role in motor sports. The brand participates in the World Rally Championship with the Hyundai i20 WRC. In Germany, the near-series racing version of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo and – for the first time – the i30 Coupe will take part in the VLN endurance championship this year; both vehicles will, in the course of this racing series, start in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.
