Hyundai Motor Deutschland GmbH
Hyundai and Germany - a long-term success story. It started in autumn 1991 with the compact car “Pony” and three other models. Hyundai soon reached a market share of one percent and achieved one of the best starts on the German automobile market ever.
Until today more than 650.000 Hyundai cars have been sold to German costumers, in 2009 alone more than 91.000 new cars. Today, the brand stands for fine quality, a modern design and an attractive price performance ratio. With new models like the compact SUV ix35 and the sporty Genesis Coupé and with the official partnership of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, the brand will continue its success and enhance its popularity in 2010, too.
Even for the little ones mobility is an important issue. Hence the decision of the Korean car maker Hyundai to support LEGOLAND Germany as a strategic partner; the company is providing the leisure park with 25 family-friendly cars. Nippy park runabouts include the micro model i10 and the compact i30. For larger groups and off-road driving there’s the seven-seater SUV ix55 and its smaller brother, the Santa Fe, not to mention the new compact SUV ix35.
Plus there’s also much on offer for visitors to LEGOLAND: at the junior driving school three to seven-year olds can get behind the wheel for the first time. Older kids, having received a brief theory lesson, may drive round the course at 6 kmph to obtain their first driving licence. Numerous additional joint activities are in the pipeline – from possible test drives at the park to attractive prize draws.
